I love gin and tonics, but when I order them, I always ask for extra limes. Then I discovered the delicious gimlet. Here's my summer version I invented a few nights ago, and sipped on the porch while watching the sun set.
Ingredients for one cocktail:
1 shot of gin
3/4 shot of lime syrup (like Rose's)
Juice of 3 key limes
Splash of tonic water
Fill a lowball glass with ice, add gin, syrup, juice and tonic water. Slice two of the strawberries, and throw them in too, then stir it up. Slice the third strawberry down the middle to use as a garnish on the rim.
