drink it: a blended nectarine julep

Here's a gussied up julep. Not that a julep really needs it. It's pretty perfect in it's simplicity. But, if you're like me, and have some overripe nectarines lying around, well then, make a blended nectarine julep of course.

Ingredients for 2 cocktails:
1 very ripe nectarine
10 mint leaves
about 1 cup of ice
2 tablespoons simple syrup
3 shots of Bourbon

Blend everything together in a food processor, except for the booze. Pour into chilled glasses, stir in Bourbon, and add mint for garnish. Now you can drink Bourbon like a true southern belle.
