snack time: german fondue

Or as my husband called it, gourmet cheese fries. Whatever you want to call it, just know that it is good and hearty. I'll pretty much eat anything with cheese on it, and little red potatoes are no exception.

All you need to do is boil about 10 quartered red potatoes for 15 minutes. After they're boiled, lightly pan fry them in just a little bit of cooking spray and a lot of salt. While all that's going on make the cheese sauce. Melt about 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter in a sauce pan. Stir in about 1 1/2 tablespoons of flour. Once all the flour is absorbed, add about a cup of milk. After the milk is heated add a cup of sharp cheddar cheese. Stir this in until it's all melted. Then add about 1/2 a cup of beer and some salt to taste. That's it, now you're ready for dipping and the polka.
