drink it: rosemary and pear spritzer

This recipe has been adapted from a Martha Stewart mix. Mine's just a little easier, but just as tasty.

For one cocktail you'll need:
1 1/2 shots pear vodka
1/2 shot rosemary syrup*
splash of prosecco or champagne

Over ice pour in vodka and syrup, stir together. Top with bubbles (or substitute tonic if you want something less sweet) and add a rosemary sprig for garnish.

*To make the syrup, bring a cup of water and a cup of sugar quickly to a boil so that sugar dissolves, then remove from heat. While that's heating remove leaves from 15 sprigs of rosemary and coarsely chop. Add to sugar water and let sit for 2 hours. The longer you let it sit though, the stronger the flavor. Strain out leaves before serving.
